We believe that the Certified Financial Transitionist® designation can be maintained only through continuous practice and education.
It is mandatory, therefore, that Certified Financial Transitionists® complete and report a minimum of 15 hours of Continuing Education Credits per year, with at least 10 from FTI/SMI. Two of the credits must be in Ethics.
The 10 credits for FTI/SMI can be achieved by:
- Attending live FTI/SMI events. Each year we offer a Mid-Year Conference and an Annual Conference, which are approved for up to 11 CFP CE credits (here‘s a recent conference agenda), and sometimes we also offer shorter live events. This is your opportunity for the ongoing practice that is vital to achieving fluency in the use of our tools, protocols, and processes.
- Completing on-demand webinars (including quizzes), which have also been approved for CFP CE credits.
The five remaining credits must have been approved by the board of the primary designation of the CeFT® and can be reported online below.
Please note that there is also a requirement to attend one live event every two years.
See Maintaining the CeFT® Designation, for all post-certification requirements.
